By popular (kinda) demand, I was told I should post this recipe.  I thought this was common knowledge, like doesn’t everybody know how to roast asparagus? Apparently not everyone.  Yeah so I also kinda assume that people know most of the things that I know…within reason.  But again, apparently I needed to post this recipe for all the ‘non cookin hoes’ out there 😉 So here you go.  You’re welcome.


  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water

Preheat oven to 400°F

Blanch the cleaned asparagus (with the ends snapped off) in boiling salted water for no more than 5 mins.

Remove from the water and lay them out on a cookie sheet.  Drizzle with olive oil and add the salt and pepper.

  • Note: you can season your asparagus with whatever you like, but I’m a minimalist sometimes so for the sake of this recipe I just used salt and pepper. But go on ahead and experiment. 

Roast in the oven for about 10 mins or so, depending on how done/crispy you like your asparagus.
