…And apparently I’m not the only one either…

Dancin! Dancin! DANCIN!!!!

The skeletons are dancing yall!

I know this post is late and all but…better late than never 🙂

I wanna tell yall a little story about life and loss…and bravery and redemption….truth and consequence…

Nah but serious up yall, this is really just about some ol’ raggedy ass heaux and the compnay they keep.

At what age do you have to just let it go tho?  Serious up? This is a question that we should all ask ourselves if we are to continue to grow and evolve as individuals and collectively.  Here we are trying to get Obama back in the White House yet we steady get caught up in these shenanigans! Unacceptable!!! Being that I’m a young woman, 28 to be exact (oooooh no she did-n’t just say her age! Oh yes she did! :)), I’ve had to come to terms with my ‘adulthood’ recently on more occasions than I’d like.   And even sometimes I’ll admit that I’m still very much in denial.  But being that I’m right on the cusp of that “I’m old enough to know better but young enough to not give a phuck” demographic, I know my reckless days are very much numbered, and I’m ok with this.  Matter of fact, part of me is longing for and welcomes the change.  Who wants to be ratchet forever? 😉

BUT…

If you reach a certain age, and are married and got kids…then ideally your ‘less than desirable’ days are pretty much over, right? …The days where you hang out with loose members of the opposite sex while dressed inappropriately and behave even worse are over, right?  RIGHT??? Apparently not so much.  Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with good clean fun.  Hell even some bad dirty fun is ok once in a while.  Tee hee.  Another part of me growing up; realizing the ‘ugly’ in people, no matter what age or walk of life.

Chial…recently I found myself in a bit of a ‘situation’, like I always seem to find myself in.  It’s really quite fascinating; to watch the thirst in action.  Idk whether tis some type of mid-life crisis, but these heaux is cray cray!  I just hope that’s not me in another 15 years or so….

Going out acting half your age is not cute at all, no matter what age you are!

Don’t yall know they layed Him out, and stretched Him wide, and then He hung His head and Died, but not for these knee-grows to act like they aint got the sense they were born with!

Or were they???

Cheesecake Cupcakes

Luckily for yall, I had a gang of cream cheese and sour cream in my refrigerator I needed to get rid of…so enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 8oz packages of cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 8oz sour cream
  • 2c sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 5 eggs
Preheat oven to 375°F
In a bowl, cream the cream cheese and 1 cup of the sugar together until combined.  Mix in the eggs, one at a time and then add 1 tsp of the vanilla and mix thoroughly.
Line a cupcake tin with paper liners and fill with the cheesecake mixture about 2/3 of the ways full.  Bake until golden brown for about 30 mins.  Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 10 mins.
Meanwhile, mix the sour cream, the other cup of sugar and the remaining teaspoon of vanilla together until smooth.  Spoon this mixture into the wells of the cheesecakes.  Return to the oven and bake for about 5 more mins until the filling is set.  Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
Note: you can make these chocolate by adding 1 tbsp of cocoa powder before baking.
