Guess what day it is???

HUMP DAY!

I love this commercial.

But you know what I don’t love??? -Rude ass people!

If you see me on the phone, don’t walk up to me and start talking anyway.  Bish, I’m on the phone!  And the people in the mall that be at those kiosks tryina sell you stuff are notorious for that.

These people have no couth.

Meatballs

So am I the only one who does not like to touch raw meat with their hands?  Like I feel like if I touch it then I can’t eat it.  Like I’ll get the cooties or something lol.  So I use disposable gloves when making things like this-that require me to use my hands.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground turkey meat (you can also use the ‘meatball mix’ that consists of beef, veal and pork)
  • 1 tbsp fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 sweet onion, minced
  • 1/2 green pepper, minced
  • Red Sauce
  • Olive oil for cooking

Mix the meat in a large bowl with all of the ingredients until thoroughly combined.  I recommend using your hands (which is why I use gloves!).

Form small portions of meat into balls of your desired size.  Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high head and cook the meatballs in batches, so as to not overcrowd them.  Cook them on all sides until they are brown on the outside (about 5-7 mins total).  Remove from the oil and drain.

In a medium pot, combine all of the ingredients for the red sauce over medium-high heat and stir to combine.  Add the meatballs and allow them to finish cooking in the red sauce.  Once the sauce reaches a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer and cover.  Let the sauce and meatballs simmer for an hour until the sauce begins to thicken.
